Abstract
This study examines the effectiveness of art therapy programs for school maladjusted adolescents and establishes the theoretical basis for developing more effective art therapy programs for school maladjusted adolescents by identifying the characteristics of various variables of the art therapy program. For this study, 18 papers published in Korea from 2000 to June 2020 were extracted and a wireless effect model analysis was conducted. As a result, the effect size of the art therapy program for school maladjusted youth was 1.335, indicating a very large effect size. In addition, subgroup analysis and moderation effect analysis for each component of the art value program were conducted to understand the cause of the heterogeneity of effect size and the background. As a result of subgroup analysis, there was a difference in the size of the effect according to the criteria for selecting a class and media, excluding the publication type, and the number of participants, the number of sessions, the number of sessions, and the number of sessions per week through the moderation effect analysis were fine art for maladapted youth. It did not appear to affect the effectiveness of the treatment program.
